An inspired choice -

It was such an easy place in which to relax - really welcoming with an easy elegance that didn’t compete

with the sensational view. I hope that we left Weemala it in a state which will make us welcome again!

What a wonderful time -

The perfect location, breathtaking misty mornings, spectacular light show. Looking forward to my next visit. Hope it’s very soon.

Weemala lends itself to serenity -

Weemala, the aboriginal word for good view, embraced our fledgling party of four into the Byron Hinterland earlier this

month. Arriving in darkness, the full bucolic splendor of what lay in front of us was to be revealed when we woke the next

morning. Mist rolled over the lush, verdant valleys like cotton wool placed gently on the branches of a Christmas tree.

The morning light slowly folded back the night. Cows traversed the nearby hill sides waiting to be milked. Birdsong

including the whip bird duet floated through the mist. Weemala lends itself to serenity. It embraces us in a space that

directs our thoughts to the natural world beyond.

A rare beauty -

“To me, Weemala captures what is most special about the Byron hinterland…

An expansive prism of deep rolling green, gentle sea breezes and an almost indescribable feeling of being

held in the dreamtime hands of Mother Nature herself. It is a rare thing to be so surrounded by the rich and

pristine pulse of nature, yet also to have access to all of the comforts and luxury of a modern home.

I came to Weemala for a writing retreat.  What I discovered was a sparkling, uninterrupted doorway to my

own creative process and to aspects of myself that had been hiding in the fabric of my being, just waiting

for a quiet moment of connection to re-emerge.  I’m very grateful… And I will be back!”
